Chicago Cubs Winning Season in 2015 Positions Them for Future Success

In 2015, established businessman Greg Oldham accepted his position as regional manager at United Insurance Companies, Inc. (UICI), in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and he now divides his time between UICI and GK Homes, his private real estate firm. A sports fan, Greg Oldham of Kenosha, Wisconsin, enjoys watching baseball and his favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.

The Chicago Cubs set new records with their 2015 campaign, and the franchise is favored by multiple sources to win their division and the World Series this year. Last season, for the first time in the history of the ball club, the Cubs won their first playoff series at Wrigley Field. They finished the year with 96 wins, ranking third in the National League Central behind the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals. However, Chicago advanced further into the playoffs than Pittsburgh and St. Louis.

Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta led the league in wins in 2015 with 22, and he will return to the mound in 2016 along with a few additions to the team roster. In the off-season, the team has signed contracts with pitcher Adam Warren, outfielder Jason Heyward, and infielder Ben Zobrist.
